The very first set of 3 training courses on PSM Conduct of Operations were held 27 Jan to 6 Feb 2018 in Mahshahr, Iran, for senior and top managers of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries (PGPIC) subsidiary companies, hosted by the holding company’s training and development arm, Rahavaran Fonoon Petrochemical Co. (RFPC), with very positive feedback. Conduct of Operations is considered a pivotal element in Risk-Based Process Safety Management (RBPSM), as it acts at the interface of process safety, operations and maintenance disciplines, where it can cause practical integration of everyday operations with process safety. 46 senior and top managers from supervision, operations and maintenance units participated in the highly interactive workshops directed by Premier Safety Associates, a British consulting company with a long history of practical involvement in the hydrocarbon processing industry, in partnership with NEXO, which facilitated two-way exchange of information and experience. PGPIC is the leading petrochemical holding company of Iran, running 15 subsidiary companies that produce petrochemicals with valued about USD 3,904,050.
