NEXO presented at the 2nd National Fire Behaviorism Conference in Tehran early Nov. Using the example of three recent storage tank fires in Buncefield (2005), Puerto Rico (2009) and Jaipur (2009), we concluded that although emergency preparedness is necessary, process safety management for prevention of the incidents in the first place is more effective when it comes to major hazard industries.
